In 2018, NFWWD participated in the U.S. Embassy’s Khadija-tul-Kubra Awards, which recognized the outstanding contributions of women with disabilities in Pakistan. The awards celebrated the achievements of women leaders, advocates, and change-makers who have advanced disability rights, gender equality, and social inclusion.

The initiative was organized in collaboration with MIUSA, the Women’s Parliamentary Caucus, UN Women, STEP, and the Government of Pakistan. It reflected a collective commitment to honoring the leadership of women with disabilities and promoting their active role in shaping Pakistan’s future.
