On 7–8 November, NFWWD convened a strategic planning meeting in Islamabad to review its progress, set priorities, and develop a roadmap for advancing the rights and empowerment of women with disabilities in Pakistan. The two-day meeting provided a platform for reflection, dialogue, and collective decision-making, ensuring that the organisation’s future direction remains responsive to the needs and aspirations of women with disabilities.
The meeting was organised in collaboration with the British Council, BID Network Pakistan, Sightsavers, Special Talent Exchange Program (STEP), and CBM. Representatives from partner organisations and disability rights activists actively engaged in discussions, contributing valuable insights and recommendations for strengthening NFWWD’s strategies and programmes. The strategic planning process reaffirmed NFWWD’s commitment to inclusive development, leadership of women with disabilities, and stronger advocacy for policies and practices that eliminate systemic barriers. The meeting concluded with a shared vision for expanding NFWWD’s role as a leading voice for women with disabilities at both national and international levels
