On 18 September 2017, NFWWD took part in a press briefing to highlight the exclusion of persons with disabilities from the Pakistan Census 2017. The session aimed to raise public awareness and call for greater accountability in ensuring the visibility and recognition of persons with disabilities in national data systems.

The press briefing was organized in collaboration with ADTF and BID Network Pakistan. It underscored the urgent need for inclusive census practices and accurate data collection to inform effective policy-making and safeguard the rights of persons with disabilities in Pakistan.
