One-Day Seminar: “Women with Disabilities and the Need for Inclusive Development”

On 4 February 2014, a one-day seminar on “Women with Disabilities and the Need for Inclusive Development” was held in Islamabad. The seminar highlighted the importance of mainstreaming disability perspectives into national development agendas, with a particular focus on ensuring the rights and participation of women with disabilities in all spheres of life.

The event was organised by the National Institute of Special Education (NISE), Directorate General of Special Education (DGSE), and the Capital Administration and Development Division (CADD), in collaboration with the National Forum of Women with Disabilities (NFWWD). It brought together stakeholders from government, civil society, and the disability community to discuss strategies for inclusive policy and practice
