On 14 April 2016, a Leadership Conference of Women with Disabilities was held in Islamabad to strengthen the role of women with disabilities in decision-making and development processes. The conference provided a platform for women leaders with disabilities to share experiences, build networks, and develop strategies for inclusive leadership.
The event was held in collaboration with Special Talent Exchange Program (STEP), BID Network Pakistan, ADTF, and the United States Department of State. It brought together women with disabilities, civil society actors, and policymakers to discuss pathways for enhancing leadership and ensuring equal participation.
The conference reaffirmed the collective commitment of partners to advancing inclusive leadership, promoting equality, and empowering women with disabilities in Pakistan.
