On 2 December 2014, NFWWD joined national and international partners in commemorating the International Day of Persons with Disabilities through an event titled “Sustainable Development and the Promise of Technology.” The event highlighted how technology can serve as a powerful tool for advancing accessibility, inclusion, and equal participation of persons with disabilities in society.
Organised in collaboration with STEP, Sightsavers, Light for the World, and the British Council, the event brought together stakeholders from government, civil society, and the disability community. Discussions focused on the role of technology in education, employment, and independent living, underscoring its potential to drive sustainable development.
