On 16–17 October 2017, members of the National Forum of Women with Disabilities (NFWWD) participated in the 10th Annual Conference on Rural Women’s Day, held under the theme ‘Rural Women’s Leadership for Democracy and Sustainable Development.’ The conference brought together diverse stakeholders to celebrate the contributions of rural women and to strengthen their role in advancing social, economic, and political development.
The event was organized by the Potohar Organization for Development Advocacy (PODA) in collaboration with the National Commission on the Status of Women (NCSW), UN Women, STEP, IFAD, the High Commission of Canada, WSE, AMRDO, and the Ministry of Climate Change. The participation of NFWWD members underscored the vital role of women with disabilities in rural development and democratic processes.
