In 2019, NFWWD joined the Second Khadija-tul-Kubra Awards in Islamabad, an initiative recognizing the leadership and achievements of women with disabilities in Pakistan. The awards honored women who have demonstrated exceptional commitment to advancing disability rights, gender equality, and inclusive development.

The event was organized in collaboration with STEP and the Women’s Parliamentary Caucus, reaffirming the importance of celebrating women with disabilities as leaders and agents of change in Pakistan’s social, political, and development spheres.
