Training Workshop: Strengthening the Role of Women with Disabilities in Humanitarian Action

From 9 to 11 November 2016, a training workshop on “Strengthening the Role of Women with Disabilities in Humanitarian Action” was held in Islamabad. The workshop aimed to build the capacity of women with disabilities to actively participate in humanitarian response and recovery efforts, ensuring their voices and needs are central in crisis situations.

The programme was organised in collaboration with Special Talent Exchange Program (STEP) and the Women’s Refugee Commission. Participants engaged in sessions on inclusive humanitarian frameworks, leadership skills, and strategies to reduce vulnerabilities while promoting resilience among women with disabilities.
