Training of Trainers on Gender and Disability in Development

Event Detail

From 8 to 11 December 2015, NFWWD organised a Training of Trainers (ToT) on “Gender and Disability in Development” for women with disabilities from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, and Islamabad. The training was designed to strengthen leadership skills, build capacity, and promote active participation of women with disabilities in development processes at local and national levels.

The programme was organised in collaboration with the Special Talent Exchange Program (STEP) and the United States Department of State. Participants engaged in intensive sessions focused on gender equality, disability rights, and inclusive development approaches. The training equipped women with knowledge and tools to serve as trainers and advocates in their respective regions, amplifying the voices of women with disabilities and addressing systemic barriers.
