On 27 February 2016, a consultation workshop was held in Islamabad to discuss strategies for advancing the rights and inclusion of persons with disabilities, with a particular focus on the empowerment of women with disabilities..

The event was organised in collaboration with the US Embassy, NFWWD, Special Talent Exchange Program (STEP), Sightsavers, and VSO. Representatives from government, civil society, and organisations of persons with disabilities actively contributed to the discussions.
