Living with polio since childhood, she experienced firsthand what barriers people with disabilities experience in remote regions. Despite the obstacles and limited infrastructure, she persevered and obtained a master’s degree in English literature from NUML University in Islamabad. Her father supported her ambitions and academic aspirations. Now, she works to make the environment in Gilgit Baltistan more inclusive, leading the frontline in advocacy. As an NFWWD member and as a representative of Gilgit Baltistan, she amplifies those communities and provides support to victims of gender ased violence and domestic abuse. In 2019, she worked with other organizations in consultation workshops to create the Rules of Business for the GB Disability Act 2019.
