Aliza Munim Qazi

"One thing that has kept me motivated throughout was that art has no language and barriers, if one is good at it, he can do it despite any kind of hurdles and limitations. For people sky is the limit, for me, I can go limitless through my art."

Provincial Coordinator (Sindh), National Forum of Women with Disabilities | Art & Designer at the world of Art | Officer/Associate in the Credit Administration Department at PKIC families

Diagnosed as deaf from birth, Aliza Munim Kazi never allowed her hearing impairment to define her or limit her aspirations. Supported wholeheartedly by her parents, she embraced her artistic abilities and nurtured her passion for painting as a young child. Her creative journey led her to launch “The World of Art by Aliza Munim,” a platform where she showcases the artistic talents of persons with disabilities. Collaborating with organizations and special schools across Karachi, she has organized exhibitions and competitions—painting, pottery, handicrafts—to highlight that “special persons have been blessed with special skills… we need only to provide a platform.” A notable recent event at the Arts Council Karachi celebrated the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, featuring handicrafts made by individuals with disabilities and receiving widespread praise.

Aliza aims to elevate disabled artists and dismantle stigma through her art. She also actively manages a Facebook page (@The World of Art), regularly displays her artwork online, participates in competitions (including live art contests at Port Grand, where she secured second place), and was recently honored at Pakistan’s Parliament House with the “Khadija tul‑Qubra” award.
