WHAT WE DO

Building Inclusive Societies Through Training & Empowerment

We believe that knowledge and skills are powerful tools for empowerment. Our trainings equip persons with disabilities, their families, and community leaders with the capacity to challenge barriers and create inclusive societies. From disability rights and equality to practical community-based inclusive development, our programs ensure participants gain both technical knowledge and lived-experience perspectives.

Aligning with global institutions such as UNITAR and drawing on tools from UNDRR, we deliver courses on inclusive disaster risk reduction, human rights monitoring, and resilience planning. These trainings not only build awareness but also strengthen leadership, advocacy, and participation of persons with disabilities in decision-making spaces. By sharing strategies across local, national, and global levels, we foster a network of disability champions who can lead change in their own communities

We share experiences in:

A Framework for Disability Rights

Peer Counseling

Many women with disabilities in Pakistan live with courage but remain underserved by government, NGOs, and even disability organizations. NFWWD’s Peer Support Group empowers women, especially those confined to homes in rural areas, by creating a space for connection, dignity, and inclusion.

Community-Based Inclusive Development (CBID)

NFWWD promotes inclusive development led by persons with disabilities themselves. Through CBID, we strengthen grassroots organizations, improve access to education, health, and livelihoods, and ensure communities become more responsive and sustainable.

Independent Living Centres

Independent living is a basic right and the key to full participation in society. NFWWD advocates for accessible housing, transport, and personal support so women with disabilities can live with dignity and choice, not in institutions.

Gender-Sensitive Disaster Management

Women with disabilities face greater risks in disasters. NFWWD advocates for inclusive, gender-sensitive disaster planning with accessible warnings, safe evacuations, and equal recovery support, ensuring no one is left behind.

Disability Equality

NFWWD works to end discrimination in education, jobs, health care, and public life. Guided by the UNCRPD, we push for policy change, raise awareness, and empower women with disabilities to claim their rights as a matter of justice, not charity.

Gender & Development Effectiveness

NFWWD ensures women with disabilities are central to development by addressing gender inequality and intersectional barriers. We promote leadership, economic empowerment, education, and decision-making to place them at the heart of change.
